The GEL 100 CAF 100 contains 100 mg of caffeine, that's the equivalent of 1.5 espressos or one cup of brewed coffee.

That's a lot, compared to many of the traditional gels out there. It delivers 25 grams of carbohydrates through a unique blend of fructose and glucose (ratio of 0.8:1) which enables uptakes of up to 100 grams of carbohydrates per hour.

Maurten- A gel with a different texture

"Maurten gels have a mild sweet flavour and I have found them easy to digest. The texture is almost a solid jelly like texture so it’s not messy to eat on the bike or while running. The tear strip is a different colour from the rest of the sachet so it’s easy to spot with a quick glance on the bike. The Caf 100 has 100mg of caffeine which is more than Pure (30mg) or SIS (75mg) caffeine gels so gives a real boost. They are slightly more expensive than some other gels but worth it for the nutrition profile, digestibility and ease of use especially in races."
